In the winter semester 2008/09, the master's program "Choreography and Performance" (MACuP) was established at the Institute for Applied Theater Studies at the Justus-Liebig-University Gießen as part of the Hessian Theater Academy under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Gerald Siegmund in cooperation with the University for Music and Performing Art Frankfurt am Main (HfMDK). The MA "Contemporary Dance Pedagogy" (MAztp) started one year earlier, in the winter semester 2007/08 at the HfMDK under the chairmanship of Prof. Kurt Koegel. From 2011 onwards, both programs will fully fall under the responsibility of the respective universities. There will continue to be close cooperation with Tanzlabor_21.
