Klub_21 - Dance and Performance for Teens
In August this year, Tanzlabor_21 begins a new project for children and teens age 14 years and older, who are interested in dance and performance. Main component of the membership is a one-year course.

One-Year Course
The one-year course is the heart of Klub_21 - a chance to unlock your potential for the stage and experience support to develop it further in the process. In weekly meetings, we will together playfully explore the expressive potential of the body and the possibilities provided by the stage. In addition to basic exercises on presence and awareness of space, we will teach you basic dance vocabulary. By trying out the different roles of observer, movement researcher, dancer/performer and initiator of movement, we will develop a shared understanding for the inside and outside perspectives of dance on stage. The workshop year will finally end with a public performance presentation.

As member of Klub_21 you can attend select performances at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm as well as gain insight into artistic work in introductory talks and artist Q&A.

Wiebke Dröge, who is our Tanzlabor_21 coordinator and coach for the Dance-in-Schools projects and Youth Projects, will lead the course. She has studied contemporary dance, sports science and theater pedagogy and works as an independent dancer, choreographer, teacher and author. www.ohnepunkt.info

When and where will it take place?
The course begins August 14, 2012 on a Tuesday (after school holidays) and will take place from 5.30 to 8.00 pm at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, Waldschmidtstr. 4, 60316 Frankfurt.

Can I first take part in trial classes?
Yes, come participate in trial classes on Tuesday, April 17 or Tuesday May 29 from 5.30 to 8.00 pm and decide for yourself. Please contact us to take part at: kontakt@tanzlabor21.de

What does it cost?
The trial classes are free. The course fee for the one-year workshop is 120 Euro, early bird discount for all registrations until July 1 is 10% (108 Euro).
